NVIDIA has finalized its $5 billion equity stake in Intel, acquiring over 214.7 million shares at $23.28 per share through a private placement. The transaction, initially agreed upon in September, received U.S. antitrust clearance earlier this month, marking a significant MOVE in semiconductor industry consolidation.

The investment provides Intel with much-needed financial stability after years of aggressive capital expenditures, while further solidifying NVIDIA's influence across the chipmaking ecosystem. Nvidia shares dipped 1.91% to $186.88 during the latest Nasdaq session as markets processed the strategic implications.

This deal represents a rare collaboration between two historic rivals, with NVIDIA's AI dominance complementing Intel's manufacturing scale. The fixed pricing mechanism from the September agreement protected NVIDIA from Intel's recent stock volatility, locking in favorable terms for the AI leader.
